Members joining after May 1 will have their first year's dues credited to the next fiscal year which begins July 1.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION SHEET: There are many ways you can participate in the Bergen County Historical Society's various areas of historic focus, along with others who share your interests. BCHS is a volunteer organization and appreciates the many people who offer it their time and talents. If you are looking for a fun and worthwhile way to preserve and promote our unique local heritage, please take a moment to fill out the information below, and mail to the above address.
We will contact you as soon as possible regarding any opportunities for helping us out.

VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES: (Please all check boxes that apply for those Committees of interest)

Docents & Living History Committee: Studies the lifestyles of early Bergen County inhabitants, portrays these lives at Society events and conducts historic house tours at Historic New Bridge Landing.

Museum Committee: Catalogs and maintains the Society's museum collection of historic furniture and artifacts.

Library Committee: Maintains the Society's voluminous library collection, are now located at Felican College (Lodi campus library) and available on a limited basis.

Buildings & Grounds Committee: Helps to restore and preserve the physical aspects of Historic New Bridge Landing.

Events Planning Committee: Responsible for planning the Society's calendar of annual events and organizing each event's volunteer support.

Newsletter Committee: Coordinates all aspects involved with the production of the Society's periodic newsletter.

Membership Committee: Maintains the Society's membership information.

Gift Shop Committee: Maintains the Society's gift shop and responsible for upkeep of inventory.
