Meadows to Celebrate “Queen’s Day”
On Sunday, April 26, the Meadows Foundation will proudly hold its first annual “Queen’s Day” celebration to mark the official birthday of Queen Beatrix. In Holland this special day, known as koninginnedag, is marked with street fairs, children’s games, etc. Our day will include arts-and-crafts vendors, games, klompen dancing, a violanta barrel organ—even a visit by “the Queen” herself, who will be received by Foundation officers and the mayor of Franklin at the Van Wickle House, 1289 Easton Ave., Somerset.
Admission to this rain-or-shine event, which runs from 11-4, is only $5 carload. We promise you a wonderful family afternoon, learning about Dutch culture. Please join us because after all, we are a global village. For more information please call Ellen Hamilton at 732-249-6770, or e-mail her at j.ellenhamilton@gmail.com
