I am the 8th generation great grandson of Daniel James Christie (b. 8 Feb 1725 in Schraalenburgh - d. ~1803 ?) Daniel was the husband of Fertje (Sophia) Demarest and the son of James Christie and Magedelena Demarest.
According to the book "The Christie Families of North New Jersey" by Edward T.Maszalec, Daniel was a patriot in the Revolution and his son, James Daniel Christie (b. 27 May 1757 in Scraalenburgh d. 17 Dec 1845 in Bergen) was a Loyalist.
I am looking for any information on the service of either Christie and there burial locations (or Daniel's date of death). Any information on this topic would be helpful.
I do know that Daniel was supposed to have served under Tuenis Dey.
