Kevin Wright will lead the Friends of the Teaneck Greenway in a guided walk around Historic New Bridge Landing. Kevin has been an interpreter at historic sites since 1977. As curator of the Steuben House, a Revolutionary War landmark in River Edge, he designed events, programs, publications and exhibits. Interest in the house grew substantially when he was in charge. He was centrally involved in the visioning process for Historic New Bridge Landing, the State History Fair, Lusscroft Farm in Wantage and the Newton Historic District. A past president of both the Sussex County and Bergen County Historical Societies, he brought worldwide attention in 1985 to New Jersey's claim of sovereignty over Ellis and Liberty Islands. He writes extensively on local history and is a contributor to
(201) Magazine. He is author of the recently published book,
1609: A Country That Was Never Lost. Meet at the Teaneck end of the old swing bridge at the northwest corner of Brett Park.
