Historic Preservation Happy Hour!
All Bergen County Historic Preservationists  and (of course our preservationist friends from other counties) are invited  to a casual evening of Food and Friends, Networking and Discussions. Enjoy great  Jersey cuisine and  share what’s happening with Historic Preservation in your  town and all throughout the county.
Tuesday evening    June  29th   6pm – 9pm[/b]
at the historically cool:

The Iron Horse
20  Washington Ave
Westwood, NJ  07675
(201) 666-9682

“The very cozy  Iron Horse was voted Best Burger in Bergen County by 201
Magazine and regularly  hosts the Revolutionary War Roundtable!”

$20 per person  includes the legendary all you can eat Iron Horse buffet dinner, non alcoholic  beverages, desert, coffee/tea, gratuity, and tax. (Wine, beer and cocktails are  available by cash. Hey it is a happy hour!)
Space is limited! We  need you to RSVP to Cynthia Forster by June 25th via (201) 836-6890 or email  forsterhouse@optonline.net to set up our custom buffet.

This  networking event continues the important dialog started by Fair Lawn’s Historic  Preservation Symposiums in 2009 and will open up even more discussion on  Historic Preservation activities in Bergen County. Don’t miss out on this  great night!

This is a cooperative effort by the Bergen  County Historic Preservation Advisory Board and local Historic Preservation  Commissions throughout Bergen County.

Posting of an event on this board does not signify the official approval or participation of the Bergen County Historical Society, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) volunteer organization, founded in 1902. We are not an agency of County government and do not receive any public operating support or grants.

The Bergen County Historical Society is the only historical association with a countywide membership base, dedicated to a full-spectrum storyline and timeline for the region as a whole. We seek to sustain and increase the study and presentation of historical topics relevant geographically and culturally from North Arlington to Mahwah. The Society has a century-long track record of prestigious contributions to the preservation of historic Bergen County. Our perennial schedule of activities reflects a broad range of historical interests and perspectives, which we continually try to adapt to new media and opportunities, hoping to connect with new and ever more diverse audiences. An ambitious offering of living history demonstrations, educational public programs, publications, roundtable discussions and lectures, combined with the ongoing the presentation of our museum and library collections, daily increases the body of knowledge of Bergen County history, making a varied and unique body of our historic record tangibly available to the broadest possible audience.

If you are not already a member, we invite you to join us and support preservation and appreciation of the invaluable lessons of our History.
