SUNDAY, NOV. 11 • USO Day Veterans at the Campbell-Christie House, Historic New Bridge Landing, River Edge The Bergen County Historical Society proudly presents, from 1 to 4 P.M. on November 11, 2007, the USO VICTORY CANTEEN. This canteen will have the atmosphere of the USO Canteens of World War II with have period artifacts, Civilian Defense personnel, donut Dollies and uniformed reenactors. 10 AM Historical Walk - weather permitting - 3 centuries in one mile and one hour!
Meet at the Water Works Conservancy, Inc. - 383 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ
This is a pleasurable walk covering a mile that includes the history of the area from the 1600s to the 1800s - see historic homes, buildings and the Historic Hackensack Water Works (from the exterior only). Join us tomorrow for 3 centuries in 1 mile.
Wear suitable clothing. $5 donation suggested
Coffee, Cider, bagles and juice provided.
