Hoping to find others researching the Hartrum or Carr families from Bergen County, NJ.
Would appreciate some direction on locating church/cemetery records from this county, especially around what was once Pompton Twp in the early 1800's

Just saw your post and hope it's not too late to reply.   I too am researching Carrs originally from Bergen Co, NJ and Orange Co, NY.   Samuel Carr and Mary Post were my gggg grandparents.   Samuel was supposedly born in Totowa in 1768 and Mary b. abt. 1773.   They had many children, some of them are David, Robert, Alpha, Gabriel, and possibly Samuel and James.  They moved from Wantage NJ to Palmyra NY in the early 1800s.   After Samuel and Mary died, most of children/grandchildren moved to MI.    I'm trying to document Samuel and Mary's birthdates and Samuel's parentage and siblings.   Is this the same line you are researching?  I do not recall any Hartrums in my line.   Paularn
