About the Event

Meet me in the Meadow, Number 1 on the Map below.

Perfect way to remember the founding of our country when we declared independence July 4, 1776.

Because of the stategic bridge the site saw activity every year of the American Revolution that included serving as a battle ground, encampment ground, military headquarters and intelligence-gathering post.

We'll talk about the importance of Historic New Bridge Landing as we walk through the site. We end at the 1752 Steuben House for a tour and refreshing lemon aide, ice tea and cookies. HNBLSPC Commissioner / Past BCHS President Deborah Powell leads this tour.


Free parking available on site (parking lot at the corner of Hackensack Ave & Main Street, Main Street, River Edge and the Ackerman Zabriskie Tide Mill Parking Lot or take the train to the “New Bridge Landing” station on the Pascack Valley Line. Walk one block north and east…
