Join the Bergen County Historical Society for A Celebration of Women’s History on Sunday, March 22nd 1 pm- 4:30 pm at Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201 Main Street, River Edge NJ.
At 2:30 pm in the state historic 1752 Steuben House enjoy a performance of Margaret’s Diary During a Revolution written and performed by Gayle Stahlhuth. The show tells the story of Margaret Morris, a widow with four children living in Burlington, NJ during the American Revolution. On December 6, 1776, she began writing detailed entries in her diary of events leading up to the Hessian invasion. While many fled, she remained in Burlington and continued to write in her diary.
On display in the Steuben House will be new exhibits including Women Who Made a Difference in Bergen County. Revolutionary War and other Bergen County artifacts from their extensive collection are also on exhibit. We…
