The Bergen County Historical Society invites you to join us on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at Sanzari’s New Bridge Inn for a Unique Dining Experience.

An Evening with General George Washington, Commander in Chief of the Continental Army,

as portrayed by reenactor John Koopman.

Guests will have an opportunity to interact with General Washington and two of his generals, discuss important issues of the day (in 1776), hear first-person accounts of the American Revolution, and if they wish, have their picture taken with General Washington. All seats will include a ticket to Sunday’s “Retreat to Victory” reenactment event at Historic New Bridge Landing, and a commemorative souvenir to remind them of this special evening.

Music for the evening will be provided by Ridley and Anne Enslow, who will play selections from the eighteenth century on violin and hammer dulcimer.
