About the Event
Come celebrate fall with the Bergen County Historical Society at their Harvest Homecoming on Sunday, October 26th 1 pm- 4:30 pm at Historic New Bridge Landing. 1201 Main Street River Edge NJ 07661.
All three 18th century Jersey-Dutch sandstone houses including the state historic 1752 Steuben House will be open for tours throughout the day.
On display for viewing in the Steuben House will be new exhibits from the society’s extensive collection including Revolutionary War artifacts.
Stop by the Westervelt-Thomas barn to see broom making and corn shelling demonstrations.
Visit with Scott Lance a reenactor and carpenter by trade, who will be talking about the 18th century craft of woodworking and giving demos during the afternoon.
See the blacksmith on site to see what kind of wares he is making.
