Come to Historic New Bridge Landing for the 250th anniversary of the Retreat to Victory on Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Start the day with BCHS Past President Jim Smith as he reads The American Crisis at the New Bridge. Step back to November 21, 1776, and watch George Washington (John Koopman, General Greene and other generals on horseback, leading American troops across the bridge that Saved a Nation as described by Thomas Paine in the American Crisis. See them escape the British advance and defend the crossing from the King’s forces.
