The Bergen County Historical Society is having our annual Summertime Social on Sunday, August 23^rd 1 pm- 4:30 pm, 1201 Main Street, River Edge NJ. • Kite decorating for families (kites supplied) and kite flying on the grounds at HNBL - weather permitting. • You're invited to make a take-away sachet; herbs to choose from include lavender, mint, rosemary, orange peel, rose pedals and clove.

• Scented geraniums brought in from a West Jersey herb farm, take a few minutes to sample their perfume, all the rage in the 18th century.

• View ice cream making and ice cream cups available in the Blackhorse Inn
