About the Event
Jan Blau's talk will be on Washington and the Great Retreat (Retreat to Victory) from Ft. Lee through NJ in 1776 and the Steenrapie Encampment (along Kinderkamack Rd) of the Continental Army in 1780, plus other NJ locations of Washington Significance.
Jan Blau has a degree in Political Science from SUNY Stony Brook and a law degree from St. John's University.
In the last few years he has lectured on Washington and his relationships with Hamilton and their relationships with Madison and Jefferson at the Mahwah and Ramsey Libraries and at the 1776 Restaurant.
Takes place in the c.1752 Steuben House, 1209 Main St, River Edge, NJ. Park on Main Street, the Tide Mill parking lot or at the corner of Hackensack Ave and Main St, River Edge, NJ, cross at the traffic light and walk the path through the site. Free event.
